Clean and courteous staff. Parking was relatively easy to find on the street about a block away. Definitely could imagine some stress to find parking though. All of the staff was super nice and helpful. Would visit again. They had this little box that allowed me to borrow a portable charge which was a HUGE convenience. Otherwise, my iPad  would have died because I didn’t bring a second charger. Thanks for the space and thanks for having that utility. Game changer for me today.

I rented a "private" office from this SPACES location for a few months starting in October 2017. I do not recommend it.

Like any coworking space, the rates per square foot are very, very high compared to standard office leases. The TINY office in the pictures I posted cost $1,336/month, which included something like a 30% discount for being one of the first to move in. If you do decide to rent an office or get a coworking membership here, just know that the rates are negotiable.

The place was brand new when I signed up. The building was beautifully remodeled-- I'll give them that-- but I wasn't a fan. The private offices have sliding glass doors, but they don't do a good job of containing noise, and what's more, it was a little distracting seeing people whenever they'd walk by.

The building also had a few problems. When the fires happened here in LA, I returned to my office to find all of my stuff COVERED in ash. It took me hours to clean it all. Apparently, the SPACES maintenance team did not close the windows all the way when they sealed them shut and that was the result.

I moved out on January 31st. It's March 22nd now. Even though I've requested my security deposit of $2,672 back several times, SPACES still has not refunded it. The people at the front desk have been absolutely useless in helping to resolve this matter, and there's really no easy way to get a hold of any one at Regus (which owns SPACES).

Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

I am incredibly impressed! Our team reserved 15+ rooms over the course of three days and it was a fantastic experience. I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews in regards to the service because the staff here (Johnny, especially!) was friendly, prompt and helpful throughout our entire event. As a group we all agreed we would highly recommend this Spaces and will return for future events as well.

Preditory and Misleading Sales Tactics: I rented a space with Spaces from Mid May until the End of June (1.5 mo). I only needed the space part time while my kids were in school near by. I planned on re-leasing in September when my kids are back in school. I was assured by the Sales Manager Lauren Linville that there were NO move in and move out fees. I was told it was simply the deposit, proration for may and rent for June. Today (almost a month after move out) I was charged an additional $385.61 "restoration fee" that equates to $4 per sq ft (note I still have not received my deposit back either, this fee is in addition to the deposit they already have). I was told this fee is charged at the end of EVERY spaces lease and is in their terms and conditions (a direct contradiction to what Lauren told me verbally). I had specifically asked about the possibility of a charge prior to leasing. I explained to Lauren that it wouldn't make sense for me to lease the space short term if there were additional move in and move out fees. She knew that I would not move forward if there were additional fees. She assured me there were none (so long as I didn't paint, affix anything to the wall or etc.). When I questioned the fee I was directed towards an email sent by Lauren where the $4 per sq/ft fee is listed as "restoration fee" at the bottom of email directly after optional coffee fees. I was under the impression per her verbal and her email that this restoration fee was only charged if "restoration" was required. When asked to speak with her Supervisor she pointed me to Anaisa Avila, who informed me that the fee is not reversible. I feel a little intentionally mislead by Lauren so she could get a sale, which is incredibly frustrating seeing as she seems to be such a nice person- no idea why she would want to ruin a sales relationship over this fee. If she had just been upfront with me I would have probably still reached out to her in September to lease when I would be able to do a 9 mo lease where the rate goes down- making that move out fee not as big of a deal. I won't be leasing with Lauren or Spaces again and I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company. I want others to know my experience with Spaces Santa Monica so that the same doesn't happen to them.

Avoid this place at all cost! Go to Cross Campus or WeWork, they understand the importance of customer service.

First, I want to say that June and Johnny who are community associates are amazing! So don't think that folks that your will be working with on the day to day are terrible, they are awesome. Management are corporate suits that can't actually get anything done and make you call corporate to get things done. Since I have been at Spaces there have been 4 different managers and they have all promised different things, and then left.

So this is why SPACES Santa Monica sucks.

1. We were some of the first people to move in, and their leasing agent promised us the world, free conference rooms, rent wouldn't go up, free espresso machine, and a myriad of other benefits. The second the place was somewhat leased up they tried to raise our rent and started charging for conference rooms and coffee was credit card machine was turned on. When they said they were raising our rent we told them we would leave and they backed down.

2. It is a newly built out space, I get that, but for months the amount of dust was was unbearable. Covering everything, and is still persists today in the offices.

3. The bathrooms are disgusting, you can see the dirt on the floor piled up, constantly out of paper towels, and there just were not enough toilets, for a massive flour where about 100 people are working there is one sit-down-toilet and one urinal for the men's restroom. The stairs are literally covered in dust bunnies.

I would love for them to change my mind on these issues and will gladly take this post if they make all this right and clean the up the bathrooms.

The worst level of service I've ever received in a service agreement in the last 20 years. The employees at the location are fabulous, the management is non-existent. Final insult: charging $171 to "restore" my office space at the end of the term. This involves checking wiring and wiping off tables and door handles. I cleaned when I left. Read the other 1-star reviews here, based on my personal experience, they are all accurate, I won't bore you with my story, I'll just say they are great when signing you up, if you have any issue at all about their end of the deal, the staff at the location have no power to rectify anything, have been told by upper management to not contact corporate on behalf of the customer, have the customer contact directly. They take a week plus to answer when they answer, and their answer is always "sorry you feel that way but no." The parent company, Regus, seems to be run by the worst people. Read up on twitter etc about how terrible they treat their customers.

I recently moved into an office. The location is very clean, and a creative coworking space with great vibes. Anaisa was very friendly and helpful. Eric was very attentive and got me a great deal on an office. Overall I highly recommend coming here!

Since working at home during Covid all of last year. It has taken a toll on me creatively and lacking space to really push myself. Especially having a big family. Meeting both Anaisa and Eric was awesome. I was talking to Anaisa about my situation and completely understood what I needed and showed around and what I saw was a clean location and the space has great vibes from the other individuals ive met. I was sold and Eric swooped me off my feet with awesome deal. Now Im enjoying my time here and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
