I attended a large social event and stayed overnight. I was impressed with the level of upkeep on the hotel. The rooms were pretty nice there was attention to detail to the small things like sconces and things like that. The beds were not the most comfortable, but not bad. Water pressure and temperature in the showers was absolutely perfect! And the food offerings both for breakfast and the restaurants for dinner were fantastic. Very impressive this hotel and will be back.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights and were really disappointed with most of the experience. We mentioned the issues at check out and they gave us 2 nights of parking free ($13 night x 2 nights = $26 off), which we appreciated, but still did not feel that this was enough to make up for all of the issues we experienced. We had the following problems:

Room:
- The water pressure in the shower didn't work well at all. The faucet was leaking in the shower a lot and the knob to pull up to switch from shower to bath was really stiff. Altogether it clearly needed some maintenance.
- There was a splatter mark of food on the wall next to the bed that spanned across the painting hung on the wall as well. Eww.
- On the balcony there was a high table, but with only 1 chair. From the pool area we could see that everyone else had 2 chairs with their table.

Facility:
- There were a ton of broken light bulbs on the exterior of the elevators. It didn't hurt the functionality of them, but they look really sharp and not well maintained.
- We used the hot tub for about an hour and several times about half of the jets stopped working. We tried restarting the timer, thinking that might be the issue, but they still shut off frequently.

Service:
- We called in and ordered room service one evening. We waited 1.5 hours and nothing came. They called us and said there was a mix up and they thought it was for pick up. The food had been sitting for a while. They said they would make it all again and deliver in 15 minutes, which they did. They also gave us a 50% discount, which was appreciated.
- They didn't clean our room the whole day one of the days when we took the Do Not Disturb sign off around 8:50am.

I wouldn't come back here and I wouldn't recommend others stay here. Even for a 3 star hotel, this was pretty bad. Clearly the hotel is in need of some serious maintenance and cleaning.

Area looks great as you pull up. But the interiors are a little dated, along with the carpet.

Check in went smooth. They have ample check in parking, which is great. They have a small rotunda, which I did notice a lot of cobwebs.

While going to the room, they have a large open space which is cool. But the paint is peeling near the top.

My room had a sliding door which didn't lock. Maintenance got a pin to jamb and lock it.

While it was older, the sheets were clean, and the bathroom was also clean.

We went here for the Doctor who conference and found the hotel to be nice and accommodating. We were surprised to find that breakfast was not included in our stay. Which is fine but I'm used to breakfast being included maybe that's only at smaller hotels. That didn't affect my view of the hotel just something I wanted to note in my review.

The rooms are nice and we enjoyed our balcony. The restaurant had delicious food and the room service was very good as well. I had the caesar salad one night with chicken and the burger another day. Both were delicious and I would get again. The only note I would make about the restaurant is the wait times were long at times.

The ambience of the hotel screams "Hawaii". It was very nice and I enjoyed it. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel has the potential to be amazing! Its in a great locating and has beautiful grounds. Unfortunately my recent experience was not great. I travel to SD often for work and stayed here since the conference I was attending would be held here. I got in l late, around 8, and was told my employer's credit card authorization was missing (I would need to pay for it myself). Once the guy checked the back he found it and I went to my room. Parking was difficult and the grounds are a bit spread out. Got to my room and the key didn't work. Waited 20 minutes for maintenance to open it up. The bathroom was dirty, the sink clogged and ended up not draining. The hair dryer didnt work and the TV wouldn't turn on. I called 3 times and was told someone would be up to fix it, no one ever came. The keys didn't work on the pool/jacuzzi gates and the jets in the jacuzzi weren't working either. I understand it wad a busy week and things break but this was ridiculous. The fact they never followed through on fixing things is why I have it such a low score. Very disappointing stay.

The love location is great and within all attractions and amenities. It was easy to find an access. The rooms were a little small and needed upgrading. The AC did not cool as much as I like it too. Room service seems to come when they want and does not check or double check that you are not in the room when they do. But the staff at the front desk for great and helped out every way they could and had no problems with them. There is a $13 a day charge for parking. This is your Standard Hotel not a sweet so you do not have kitchenettes, the things that I like.
