Comerica has amazing benefits as a customer such as the rooms, and sports stuff. However, their policies aren’t customer friendly. I had a small $2.15 payment get taken out which made my account negative by a few cents. I deposited the next day and was still charged $38. Apparently there was nothing they could do to refund that $38. Okay. Well I told them about my other $38 that happened that morning and it was due to being negative from the $38 fee but they couldn’t do anything again. Like WOW

This Comerica bank location is absolutely stunning. It was awe inspiring and breathtaking to witness.

Very impressed with the service here. The first time I went in to do a transaction, it was a little busy and short on staff. An employee named Karen was helping out from another location and tried to help me as much as she could until the other banking center employee could help me complete the rest of my request. I had to wait a little, but I had the time. Karen continued to check on me and let me know that they would help me as soon as possible. Juana Ramirez apologized for the wait and inconvenience, before completing my request. I would have to come back the following week to finalize my transaction, so Juana told me she would give me a call the following Monday once she got the greenlight to finalize. She followed through and I was able to finalize the transaction effortlessly. Karen and Juana were both friendly, outgoing, and attentive to the needs of those they were serving. Happy doing business there. Overall great experience and service!

System down again. As an accountant I occasionally get clients that use Comerica. The first step is to recommend they stop using this bank. The system is frequently down, works poorly, integrates poorly, and generally has poor customer support. The end result is more time spent on needless tasks, which will increase your cost.

I was at your tower to drop off some shoes for cleaning. I stopped at your coffee bar close to the Main Street lobby at 2:35pm. The gentleman behind the counter told me he was closed even though there was a sign to his right that clearly states "7am - 3pm". Perhaps he didn't pay me any mind because I wasn't wearing a power suit. This definitely was not a pleasant experience. If your business closes by a certain time, then remain open until that time. Especially when you clearly have a sign right beside you that states so.

A beautiful area if you are a tourist! Lots to see and beautiful buildings and sights right next to this place.

Summary: In order to complete repairs on my home, I applied for a Home Equity Line of Credit from Comerica Bank. This was during the COVID-19 emergency. During this process, documentation requests were redundant and changed several times. After meeting the onerous documentation demands and completing the process, I was told that the loan was approved but would not be funded until I return to work, even though this was not an unsecured loan like a credit card. My business is closed because of guidelines from the Governor of Texas Never was I told that would be a requirement for the loan, even though there is no doubt that I will be returning to work (I own the business). . Again, this last requirement was never revealed to me until after completing the arduous process. I recommend you go some where else for a HEloC.
Details: I've been making many improvements to my home in 2020. So far this year I've repaired a chimney, replaced fascia and soffit, had a new roof put on, repaired and replaced fencing and gates, upgraded appliances, re-done ceilings, and had two coats of exterior paint out on the house. As every homeowner knows, that's expensive. I applied for a HELoC from Comerica to replace windows and doors, upgrade flooring and generally finish the project.
I was stuck at home because of the COVID-19 emergency and thought that would be an opportunity to finish the work.
The people at my local branch are great and encouraged me to apply for this loan. They helped me begin the process. Then things began going downhill. The individual at the corporate lending office initially requested fourteen pieces of documentation, including K-1's for 2017, 2018 and 2019. Plus W-2's for 2017, 2018, and 2019. Plus the awards letter from the Social Security administration for 2020 (does anyone really keep that?). If that wasn't available I had to supply the 1099s for 2018 and 2019. Do you really want me to keep going on? There's more if you're not bored yet. Such as proof of insurance, profit and loss statements, etc.
I've applied for loans before and I've usually been asked for tax returns and proof of employment and insurance. Almost all other information is available online now, whether we like it or not.
Then I get a demand for income tax statements for several years. Now, I really do get that. Kind of obvious, really. But hey, aren't all the K-1's, W-2's and profit/loss information included in the tax returns? By golly, it is! Why not just ask for those and be done with it. Even the Social Security 1099s information is included.
Do these people even have a clue? Anyway, after digging out this information, scanning and submitting it, I'm told (nearly a month into the process) that yes, I'm approved but the loan won't be funded until I go back to work even though it's secured by my home.
Never was I told that I had to be back at work and out of "lock down" before the loan would be funded. And it took nearly a month to find out.
Take it from me, don't waste your time with these people. Go somewhere else.

I have been Comerica bank for almost 10 years. There have been a few instances where I have faced rude people or had real issues:
1) When trying to activate my debit card over the phone. After 15 minutes of dealing with the rude lady and her attitude, she could not "help" me. I had to go to a branch to activate my debit card. Very annoying.
2) When I was told that I could not add my husband to my account in a different branch from where I originally opened my account (WTH?).
PROS
Overall, the tellers and the actual people that work at the bank are very nice and helpful. They make you feel welcomed and since they are a smaller bank the interation face to face is much personable.
CONS
Not very many branches or ATM's whichs makes it a real hassle sometimes.
